Casa Brancaia, owned by Swiss couple Brigitte and Bruno Widmer since 1981, is a prestigious winery located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany, Italy. The estate quickly gained recognition when its 1983 vintage won first place in a major Chianti Classico tasting, marking the beginning of its ascent as a celebrated wine producer. Today, Brancaia is known for its dedication to quality and a distinctive style that has garnered international acclaim, especially for its flagship wine, Brancaia IL BLU. The winery is guided by the passion and expertise of the Widmer family, along with a talented team of winemakers who continue to build on Brancaia’s reputation for excellence.
Brancaia’s viticulture and winemaking are centred around a meticulous approach that blends tradition with modern innovation. The winery’s vineyards are spread across two estates, Brancaia and Poppi, nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany, where the unique microclimate and soils contribute to the character of their wines.
