Tesch 'Unplugged' Riesling encapsulates the ethos of this outstanding Nahe producer. The fruit is grown on vines aged 30-60 years, nurtured by hand in the Tesch family's own estate vineyards, including some exceptionally well-situated and sought-after sites. The style is lean and absolutely, lip-smackingly bone dry, with extraordinary concentration and length of flavour. One of the very best, absolutely classic dry Rieslings, which develops an attractively complex, beeswax and honey character as it matures.

Winemaking
Sorted, destemmed, 4-8 hr skin-contact before pressing. Fermentation in wild + cultured yeast, 12-15 °C for 40 days in steel tanks. Aged 6-12 weeks on lees with battonage. No oak ageing.

Lush and round on the palate, this is an intense, saline and balanced dry Riesling with good phenol grip and fine citrus fruit bitters. The 2021 is seriously structured and shows intense and juicy fruit with stimulating grip. This is an excellent Riesling and surely one of the finest in its 21 years of existence. Drink 2022-2036
