Gran Reserva Cava is legally required to be aged for at least 30 months. Top-notch producer, Pere Ventura, exceeds this, and the Gran Reserva 'Tresor' is always matured for a minimum of 36 months. A vivacious wine with a delicate sparkle, it has pronounced lemon and crisp apple aromas, with creamy, yeasty, notes of nuts and toasted oats. The palate is crisp, well-balanced and full flavoured with honeyed notes alongside freshly- baked pastry, lemon and almond.

Winemaking
Having collected each variety separately, the whole bunches were slightly crushed then pneumatically pressed to 0.2 bar. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16 to 18 °C. A traditional second fermentation occurred in the bottle, followed by ageing on the lees for 24 to 30 months.
