When crafting his Merlot, the winemaker gains inspriration by opening bottles of Pomerol from the top chateaux! This has all the wonderful, velvet softness that you expect of Merlot, with ever so much more personality. On the nose, the rounded, supple fruit gains complexity from a roasted pepper and herbal character. The texture is beautifully supple, and the tannin is really refined. A lovely wine with excellent balance.

Winemaking
Fermented with natural yeasts and made in classic, minimal interventionist manner with no extended skin maceration. All the components were vinified separately and matured for 18 months in a selection of first, second, third and fourth fill French oak barrels and racked at intervals as necessary.
