A spicy, full-bodied Syrah from Chile's northernmost wine region, fragrant with pepper, red fruit and vanilla, evolving into darker fruit, leather, liquorice and earthy notes in the mouth. The tannins are mature and velvety in texture.

A strong commitment to development within the local community. The estate works hard on a low impact environmental policy, organic principles, water management, flora and fauna, and eco-sustainability including recycling and natural fertilizers.
Winemaking
The grapes are hand harvested, after being destemmed and crushed the juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks. The ferment takes places at 22-24C before undergoing malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged in French oak barriques for 8 months.

Syrah but not as we know it
Smoky fruit and tarry nose, the palate is really broad and soft with smooth tannins carrying the black savoury fruit on a wave of flavour. I have read reviews comparing this to Northern Rhone but I think its distinctly Chilean and unique to this Northern region of Chile. Its so distinctive and its well worth a try if you like exploring new wines.
