This is extremely appetising already, with orange, honey and some savoury herbal notes to begin with; opening to reveal spicy resinous and floral scents, and classic maturing beeswax character. In the mouth, it's dry yet full-textured, and shows greengage, honey, orange and apricot flavours, before finishing with Champagne-like green apple character. Very long on the palate, but it's not yet giving all it has - this deserves keeping a bit to show its full potential.

Winemaking
The wine is not oak-aged, and is vinified to complete dryness with no residual sugar. Bottling is done early to preserve freshness, and the wine rests in bottle in the cellar for several years before being released ensuring the wine is both ready to drink upon release but also can be cellared.

96/100 - Extremely focused with underplayed power and concentration, this Alsace dry riesling masterpiece is still very youthful, but already shows a slew of Amalfi lemon, wild herb and spicy aromas. Extremely focused, sleek palate. Super-long finish with incredible crushed rock intensity. From 1.6 hectares of terraced vines in this famous site with ancient granite soil.
