"Aroma: Small red woodland fruits, dark flowers and light herbaciousness enriched with a note of pepper. Taste: Dry and fresh with enough softness to counterbalance the tannins."
"Aromas of clean blackberry fruit accompanied by mocha and spice. The palate displays sweet fruit characters dominated by blackberry and plum, complimented by cinnamon, clove and nutmeg characters. The wine is full bodied with natural tannin and oak maturation adding texture and complexity to the wine."
"This wine displays a vibrant, deep plum colour with a dark brick-red edge. The nose is packed with berries and spice with a darker background of black olive and freshly turned earth. There is a luscious plum, blueberry, blackberry and raspberry core with secondary notes of clove and nutmeg. As the wine opens more delicate nuances are revealed, with floral notes appearing on the nose and palate. The tannins add a subtle grip and enticingly long finish. This wine is named in honour of d'Arenberg's principal, Francis d'Arenberg Osborn, who is universally known as d'Arry. d'Arry's original blend, first launched some four decades ago, was as is it appears today - a blend of Shiraz and Grenache grown on d'Arenberg's low yielding, 19th century vineyards. "
"A concentrated Malbec with notes of blueberries, dried fruits, raisins, coffee and a touch of herbaceousness. The vibrant palate has firm, juicy tannins, great concentration of flavour and length. There are few places on earth where magic really happens. The Calchaqui Valley, home of El Esteco winery, is certainly one of them. This Valley, located over 1800 metres (6000 feet) hidden in the north of Argentina, displays some unique characteristics. Poor alluvial soils; high sun exposure; low humidity; and broad thermal amplitude make the Calchaqui Valley an exceptional wine region."
"This supple and mouth-filling vintage leads with juicy raspberry and ripe boysenberry fruit. Hints of spiced chocolate integrate well with fruit that is surprisingly luscious and silky on the palate, partnered with black pepper backbone that gives structure and weight. Flavours of toasted oak and pipe tobacco create further structure, allowing this wine to stand up to a variety of hearty fare. "
"Almost opaque. Very intense and complex fruitiness with a forward, easy-going, juicy style and plenty of black cherry and blueberry fruit. No hard edges. Upfront, juicy and fruit driven but still precise and with balance. Amarone and red berry / chocolate fruit on the finish. Like the Carmenere Reserva, the Carmenere fruit for this wine is partially dried prior to vinfication. "
