There's bright orange and herbaceous sage on the nose. To taste, more sage and floral notes emerge with some ginger and cascarilla. Star anise and floral coriander come through on the finish. Best served with light tonic water and an orange peel.
Process
A concentrated dose of juniper, zesty ginger and warm habanero capsicum are distilled. This base is blended with extraacts of a further 15 botanicals, some acidulant (citric), and a preservative (potassium sorbate).
People
Launched in 2016 after years of careful building, founders Angus Lugsdin and Howard Davies have built up a team and a distillery with global reputation. The core identity remains the same though; a common love of gin and their stunning coastal home.
Place
Based in South Devon, the beautiful distillery and bar is nestled in Island Street, the traditional boat building quarter of Salcombe. They reflect this provenance by using maritime inspiration to form the ideas throughout their gin recipes.
