The estate is renowned for its terraced vineyards perched above the Douro River. The Roquette family has owned the estate for several generations, ensuring its rich heritage and traditional practices remain at the heart of its operations. The viticulture at Quinta do Crasto is deeply rooted in the Douro Valley’s unique terroir. The estate cultivates around 70 hectares of vineyards on schistous soil, which provides the ideal conditions for producing complex and rich wines. The winemaking process combines traditional foot-treading methods with modern techniques to achieve balance and quality.
