Opaque red in colour with aromas of red berry fruit and subtle oak. On the palate it has a perfect balance of bright, juicy red fruit, with satisfying weight of texture and the merest suggestion of well-integrated oak on the finish. A superbly well made, moreish wine to enjoy with hearty mushroom or lamb dishes, and it's also a contender for the title of Perfect Barbecue Red.

Winemaking
Made predominantly from Touriga Francesca and Tinto Roriz. Grapes are taken to the winery in 22 kg boxes. A rigorous selection, the stalks are removed and the grapes are crushed and transferred to stainless steel vats. The alcoholic fermentation takes place at controlled temperature for 7 days. 85% in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats; 15% in 225-litre French oak barrels for 6 months.
