This wine celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Susana Balbo wines, a history of courage written by Argentina's first female winemaker. In 2012, Susana's children, José and Ana, joined the family enterprise. Cabernet Sauvignon excelled in the Uco Valley that year, and as Susana's favourite variety, the best lots were kept concealed in the family's cellars, and saved for release at this propitious time. This deep red wine is concentrated and aromatic, with ripe red fruit notes, as well as cocoa, cedar and fine French oak. It has great texture, with gentle, mature tannins and a long, elegant finish.

Winemaking
Fruit was doubly-selected, at cluster level, and then by individual berry, before a 4-day pre-fermentation cold maceration. Fermented in barrels with native yeasts, punched-down twice daily, followed by extended maceration on skins for 35 days. Lees-aged with “batonnage” and malolactic conversion, followed by 18 months maturation in first-fill French oak.
