Why Great Wine Revealed? We’d called a mixed case the Mystery case and hidden the contents – it backfired spectacularly!
The idea seemed sound - you know, a bit of a nod and wink sort of deal, “try this, it’s a steal”. Now we’re not saying that nobody believed us, but to be honest, nobody believed us. So here we are, capitulating and revealing the delicious wines that are in these excellent mixed cases, so you can see for yourself what brilliant value they truly are!

"This lovely and unique Lebanese white has beautifully distinctive aromas of oranges, jasmine, honeysuckle, and mango. It is superbly well-balanced: fresh and refreshing, with satisfying completeness of texture and a long, elegant finish. Exceptionally delicious. "
"This intense Chardonnay has an enlivening, eye-popping brightness, and appetising essences of tangy peach and lemon zest greet the nose, closely followed by richer notes of cream, honey and toast. Deliciously vibrant, it has piquant, mouthwatering acidity in electrifying tension with the generous, ripe fruit. Its character reflects the Limarí Valley’s intense sunlight, limestone soils and climate cooled by proximity to the frigid Pacific. Lean in texture yet with superb length, this is a thrilling wine."

"A classis union of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. In the glass the wine presents a fine and persistent bubble. Inviting aromas of tropical fruit and toasted bread are present. Interesting balance of complexity and freshness."

"This wine is deep in colour with a layered fragrant nose of ripe plum and cassis with lifted vanilla, cedar and tobacco notes. The palate has a rich velvet texture with excellent structure, ripe black fruits and cassis flavours with a long full finish."

"Dusky-deep garnet in colour, this Vespolina has an impressively complex, expressive nose of savoury, earthy, chestnutty, mature notes and subtle, mellowed fruit. The palate is deep-flavoured, with lithe balancing acidity and satisfyingly supple yet chewy tannin. This remarkable, quintessentially northern Piedmontese red could almost be a far more expensive Barolo, having benefited from several years' careful cellaring. The Vespolina variety is closely-related to the noble Nebbiolo, and produces similar-tasting wines. Usefully, however, they do not require the same degree of ageing before they are ready to drink."

"Bursting with punchy aromas of boysenberry, raspberry and cherry, with violet, candied flowers and all spice adding to the mix. This Shiraz is powerful but lithe and precise. Finishes with outstanding clarity thanks to a sexy floral note and silky tannins. Finely integrated new and seasoned French oak."
