Key Flavours
Serve
Characterized by herbal, grassy and earthy notes - with pear-like fruit on the nose and peppery flavours to finish. There's a lingering sensation of slightly tannic, dried fruit. We highly recommend it.
Process
Macchu Pisco is distilled in copper pot stills according to the traditional method, with only the heart of the distillate is used. They use an average of 6kg of Quebranta grape to make one litre of their tasty Pisco!
People
Macchu Pisco was founded in 2006 by Harvard Business graduate Melanie Asher and her sister Lizzie. Pisco runs in the blood for both as their grandmother and mother used to sell Pisco in their Local Bodega in Lima.
Place
This brand comes from the Ica Valley of Peru (considered a heartland of Pisco by some), with the single variety nature of the grape and vineyard showcasing the region's provenance.
