Process
Little Bird Gin is made London Dry style at Thames Distillers in Clapham. The botanicals are largely kept secret, though we’re well informed that orange peel, grapefruit and ginger are in the mix.
People
Though it doesn’t distil on sight, Little Bird Gin has a bar in Maltby Street Market, Bermondsey, that is well worth a visit, with a cracking cocktail menu and a warm, welcoming vibe.
Place
Thames Distillers, based in South London, is a contract distillery responsible for creating so many of today’s gins. Distiller Charles Maxwell is a dab hand, able to perfect a gin within a couple of tries. If he’s made it, it’s good.
