This tastes like hedgerow fruit on a bright autumn morning (frosted rosehips and blackberries) and makes us think of quality red Burgundy. And yet you will never find a Burgundy at this price with such dry intensity surrounded by wonderful airy gracefulness. A terrific, complex Pinot Noir with a profoundness that suggests a far more expensive wine than it really is. Fantastic. - Tom King, Fine Wine Manager

Winemaking
The fruit was fermented in open vats. Fermentation commenced spontaneously with ambient yeasts and lasted for 16 to 18 days. The wine underwent indigenous malolactic fermentation. The maturation period was 10 months in French oak barriques (8% new) and large format foudre. The wine was bottled without fining and with minimal filtration.
