This could easily be Premier Cru Volnay: transparent red appearance and a very Burgundian nose of frosted rosehips, mushrooms and leather. In the mouth, gently perfumed fruit with complex truffle, tobacco and black tea flavours starting to emerge. Crisp acidity and just a nip of tannin mean this benefits from decanting if drunk now, or may be enjoyed over at least the next 5-10 years.

Winemaking
Our process begins with destemmed fruit in large concrete and wooden tanks. Natural fermentation with ambient yeasts lasts 19 days. Afterward, it's pressed and transferred to French oak barriques (20% new) for indigenous malolactic fermentation. Only one rack during 14 months of maturation, then bottled without fining or filtration.
