This mature Riesling has a fascinating bouquet of citrus, tropical and stone fruit (lime, papaya, pineapple and peach), honey, beeswax, fennel and evocative nuances (dusty footpath on a hot summer day, leather-bound tomes in an Oxford college library). It is bone dry on the palate, yet with a wealth of intriguing, complex flavours: pine forest, mandarin zest, frankincense, honey and delicate tropical character. Really exceptional, with superb intensity and complexity.
