This is an excellent Pinot Noir from vines grown on limestone-clay soil (= Kalkmergel), just like the great vineyards of Burgundy. It has an inviting aroma of strawberries, with scents of the forest and a hint of complex, savoury gamey character. On the palate, it offers a magical combination of featherlight texture with buckets of flavour and personality. With beautiful balance, fantastic freshness and lovely length, this is 100% irresistibly delicious to drink right now, and over the next 3-4 years.
