This fabulous white comes from the slopes overlooking the town of Beaune, including the famous Premier Cru, Clos des Mouches. It has a succulent, sumptuous and irresistibly gorgeous personality, with lavish aromas of buttered toast and honey. Full-bodied, ripe and rich on the palate, and has much of the character of Clos des Mouches - at one-third of the price. Absolutely delicious now, this should continue to drink well for at least another 2-3 years.

Winemaking
Harvesting: by hand, in small open crates in order to preserve the integrity of the fruit. Sorting: if necessary, the grapes are sorted twice : once when being picked, the second time on the sorting table at the winery. Pressing: very slow so as to respect fruit. Juices from the very last pressings are not retained. The wine goes directly into barrels after "débourbage" (decanting of white wine to reduce sediment). Ageing: Barrique, 20% new for 12 months
Our Expert Food Recommendation
