Zesty citrus oils with a soft floral (chamomile) touch on the nose. Bergamot and sherbet lemons floods the senses to taste, with honeyed gentian and a perfumed floral finish.
Process
Peels from Calabrian bergamots and Sicilian cedros re-infused in water, prior to being blended with grain spirit. This is then blended with a separately made maceration of chamomile, lavender, gentian, yellow roses and lemon balm.
People
Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto is the brainchild of Giuseppe Gallo a renowned mixologist who was inspired by traditional Italian Rosolio liqueurs of yesteryear. It is now owned by Pernod Ricard.
Place
Italicus a very Italian spirit. A modern recreation of Italian Rosolios, created by an Italian bartender, made at a distillery in Moncalieri, Torino, and using bergamot from the Calabrian region and cedro from Sicilia. Viva Italia!
