Wonderfully genuine, just-picked raspberries and crushed black pepper aromas enveloped by a mouthwatering yeastiness, like baking bread. Really fresh in the mouth, with raspberry and black cherry flavours, although the youthful tannin and crisp acidity suggest pomegranate or cranberry. This is SUCH a vibrant wine: if you order a few bottles, it would be a shame not to enjoy some of them immediately for their wonderful freshness and crystal clear sense of place. However, it will have no problem ageing 4-5 years, and probably longer. Outstanding value.

91/100 - The 2024 Gigondas Tradition Le Grand Montmirail reveals beautiful purity in its ripe red and blue fruits as well as peppery garrigue, spice, and liquid violet notes. Based on 70% Grenache and 10% each Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Syrah, it was aged 60% in vats and 40% in two- to four-year-old demi-muids. It's medium-bodied, very pretty, pure, balanced, and graceful on the palate, with outstanding length. Drink this classic, satisfying, complex Gigondas over the coming decade. Drink 2026-2035.
