Yellow Label remains true to its original recipe, although this is tweaked to achieve consistency during blending. A blend of all ten Four Roses recipes (approximately 2/3rd OE and 1/3rd OB mash bills) and is aged for between 5 and 6 years. It is generally blended from no more than 200 casks. A brand that dates back to the late 19th century. This Yellow Label bottling of Four Roses was originally sold the European and Japanese markets and is made up of whiskeys aged between 5 and 6 years of age. Sweet and crisp on the nose. Marmalade and zesty citrus, sweet grain, toffee and a lovely caramel note. Well-balanced smooth palate. Notes of zesty citrus, manuka honey, sweet grain, winter spice and toasty oak. Good length with sweet oak.

Process
The distillery uses five yeast strains and two mash bills to create 10 different spirits. All 10 are blended in its Four Roses bourbon bottling, while the Small Batch release contains four of the combinations.
People
The name is derived from a story where a Southern Belle stole the heart of founder Paul Jones Jr; when he proposed she replied she’d let him know if it were a ‘Yes’ by wearing a corsage with four red roses to the grand ball they were to attend.
