Orange is the dominant force in Four Pillars Gin, bringing with it a soft sweetness that really helps slow the charge of the deep-rooted spice notes. With hints of green salad and bushy herbs, it makes for a sublime Basil Smash.

Process

Four Pillars Gin is made on an Carl still – the first of these German machines to make it to Australia. There are 10 botanicals included in the gin, including Tasmanian pepper berry leaf, lemon myrtle and fresh whole oranges.

People

Four Pillars Gin was created by wine making and marketing duo Stuart Gregor and Cameron Mackenzie, along with brand guru Matt Jones. The trio united over a core objective: to create Australia’s best craft spirits.

Place

Four Pillars is a craft distillery located in the heart of Australia’s Yarra Valley. When it launched in 2013 it as amongst the first of its kind, and continues to be a standard bearer for what Australian Gin could, can and should be.
