With a bouquet of roses, tangy citrus, redcurrant and watermelon on the nose and a bowlful of fresh strawberries, raspberries and red apple on the palate, this subtle pink wine is an absolute gem from visionary winemaker, Elias Lopez. Grapes are organically farmed and grown with great care on ancient limestone soils at 700m altitude in the Tomelloso subregion of Castilla la Mancha. Vines are trained on trellis to allow adequate airflow and sunlight to develop prefectly-ripened fruit, without the need for pesticides. Embrujo del Campo means 'enchantment of the countryside,' and Elias's wines are certainly enchanting.

Winemaking
The fruit is brought into the winery and only the premium 'Free Run' juice is used to craft this wine. This 'Free Run' juice is then racked to stainless steel for temperature controlled fermentation always ensuring minimal intervention to protect the typicity of the varietal in these incredible value wines

Variations in quality and taste
We buy this wine on a regular basis. However we have noticed some variation in the quality of the wine depending on the batch you receive. One batch had to be returned as wine tasted of vinegar. (The Great Wine Co. replaced). We have ntoiced that the last batch we received (2023) seems to be darker in colour and sweeter than previous batches. While this is not a major issue, it is a slightly disappointing as one reason for buying the wine is the fact it is not particularly sweet.
