The product of an especially fine 1.25 hectare site, whose distinction has been recognised since 1492, 'La Vigne de Beaussoppet' retains Pouilly-Fumé’s distinctive intense, steely focus, balanced by a plush, full, enveloping roundness - thanks to a proportion (30%) of barrel fermentation and lees contact. Hints of smoke tantalise on the nose, interwoven with classic notes of tomato leaf and mown grass. There's also an astonishing bouquet of white flowers and ripe stone fruits. And it all carries harmoniously onto the palate, held together with a lilting acidity.

Winemaking
Grapes are hand-picked then put in a pneumatic press. Alcoholic fermentation happens in stainless steel vat (70%) and also in in oak barrels (30%) with control of the temperatures. No malolactic fermentation occurs so fresh acidity is retained. The wine is aged on fine lees for 9 months, adding complexity. It is then aged in bottles for at least 6 months before release.
Our Expert Food Recommendation
Matches the most refined dishes such as lobster. Excellent with white meats.
