From a single vineyard planted on Maule's coastal cordillera in 1945, this is almost entirely Malbec, with just a seasoning of Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere. The old, gobelet-trained bush vines are un-grafted and unirrigated, and yield less than a kilogram of intensely-flavoured fruit per year. This full-bodied wine has a seamlessly sumptuous texture, with fabulous complexity and balance. While showing attractive, mature character, it still has superb vibrancy and freshness.
