Cuvée Louise

Created as a tribute to Louise Pommery, Cuvée Louise is an absolutely pure wine which quintessentially conveys the wine-making expertise of the Pommery champagne house. Cuvée Louise originates in the vineyards of Avize, Cramant and Ay: three “Grand Cru” areas that are jewels in Champagne's crown. Finesse and elegance are the first words which come to mind at the first sniff. The Chardonnay is expressed here in nuances of linden, hawthorn, vineyard peach, developed over extended ageing in Pommery's cellars. With aeration, the Pinot Noir expresses itself too, with complex tertiary aromas of roasted hazelnuts, mild tobacco, vanilla and balsamic notes. Like a caress, the texture is velvety and creamy. Its incredible harmony and sense of place invite you to a unique experience during which the aromas perceived on the nose recur on the palate. The finale, with the gentleness of honey and lemon, comes to punctuate this wine and provides the vintage with its signature through a delicate flavour, a noble firmness, which gives this cuvée its final structure.
