A blend of 66% Tempranillo, 30% old vine Garnacha and 4% Graciano. Cherry and cola aromas mingle with hints of chocolate and spicy. A dark, yet luminous crimson colour hints at the rich semi-savoury dark cherry and cola palate that nishes with a hint of grenache red cherry juiciness.
The original Spanish spelling of Barrosa honours the original name given to our Barossa Valley by Colonel Light who fought in the 1811 battle.

Winemaking
Open fermenters host fermentation with 7 days maceration before pressing into barrels. Tempranillo's relatively higher pH is tolerated, anticipating Grenache and Graciano's natural acidity for balance. Maturation occurs in mostly used French and American hogsheads (300L) for around 7 months before bottling.
