Deep, vibrant purple-red. Beautifully ripe and fresh berry fruit aromas and flavours: mulberry, raspberry and strawberry. Dry in the mouth, with gentle tannin structure, it shows fabulous intensity with lovely persistence of strawberry fruit on the finish. A wine with a definite Bordeaux sense of place. This is a fabulous example of the care, attention and passion that goes into some of the more affordable wines of Bordeaux. Stéphane and Laurence Dupuch are extremely choosy about what types of vine they plant in different locations, to ensure that each reaches its full potential. White grape varieties go on clay-limestone soils, while reds are on well-drained gravel plots to ensure consistent ripening and flavour concentration.
