Press Review
" This is Bodega Cerrón’s entry level wine in their Stratum range, and what a fabulous starting point! From a selection of Monastrell vines (co-planted with around 10% of other varieties) in Fuente Alamo between 850-940m. These are old vines, 50 to 80-years’-old, that bring concentration and complexity to this wine. Violets and Turkish Delight with red cherry fruit combine to produce a pure and precise red with fantastic vibrancy while a touch of blueberry and graphite culminate in a refreshing finish. Delicious! Drink 2024 - 2027 "
Winemaking
2021. Mediterranean vintage. The winter was cold with two episodes of intense snow, up to accumulations of 80 centimeters which led to a good retention of water in the ground. Spring was rainy and cool until the beginning of summer with high temperatures by day and cool at night. Two episodes of rain in September led to a perfect balance between maturity and freshness. Manual Harvest. Fermentation in Wooden foudre and open barrels. Aging of 11 months in Foudre of 5000 liters and used barrels of 500 liters. Bottled without filtering or clarifying.
