Made by maverick Roberto Anselmi, who rejected his wines' entitlement to the Soave DOCG designation, on the grounds that it did not do justice to their quality! This aromatic, fruity style offers peaches, hazelnnuts and orange blossom on the nose with refreshingly clean, crisp, flavours and a long finish. Anselmi's vineyards cover 62 acres, high in the volcanic hills of Soave and Monteforte d’Alpone. The perfect southern exposure and elevated hillsides, well-drained volcanic tuff and rocky/calcareous slopes; together with severe pruning and green harvest, serve to reduce crop yields and ensure concentration and character in the wine.
Winemaking
The grapes undergo gentle pneumatic pressing after de-stemming. Cold maceration enhances depth and extract. Fermentation occurs at 16°C, followed by 6 months' rest in steel vats with natural yeast. Roberto's skill transforms superb terroir into wines of remarkable depth and longevity.

Blown Away
This wine is so gorgeous! I was taken back at how much complexity it has. On the nose it is stone fruit, slightly floral and on the palette, buttery and nutty with the perfect amount of acidity. I’ve tried this wine during a cold evening, and it’s so warming for a white, like I’m sat in a mansions library, next to the fire in a leather chair. I can also imagine it’s just as nice during the summer too. 10/10
