South African Rosés

South Africa is one of the world's most exciting wine-producing countries. Its warm climate is cooled by sea breezes from the Atlantic and Indian oceans on either side resulting in a climatic range fit to accommodate the ripening needs of vines as diverse as Grenache to Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot. South Africa's winemakers constantly inspire us with their enthusiasm and innovation and efforts to support the country's numerous empowerment projects, which educate, house and employ disadvantaged communities and make wine a unifying project for the nation. There you can find Cabernet Sauvignon of 'Super-Second' Claret quality rubbing shoulders with the world's finest Chenin Blanc, or a Shiraz of Hermitage-like proportions.
