The 1.75 hectare La Nieta vineyard at Paganos in Rioja Alavesa was planted in 1975, and its poor clay-limestone soil results in a low yield of fruit that is packed with character and flavour concentration. The wine shows impressive complexity from an early age, exploding with blackberry, black cherry, espresso, coconut and barley malt flavour, however this settles down into beautiful elegance and sophistication with time in the bottle.

Press Review
" La Nieta is produced with grapes from a 1.78-hectare vineyard at 525 metres on clay soils in Páganos and is a triumph over a tricky vintage in 2020. Elegant, detailed, refreshing and refined, with rose petal and potpourri aromas, wonderful focus and balance, a balsamic undertone and layers of red berry, plum and blueberry fruit. A brilliant expression of a special site. 2025-40 "
