The G must surely stand for "glorious", because that's exactly what this is! It's impressively complex and layered, with juicy red fruit riding on graceful, velvety tannins, through savoury, herbal notes. While 'grown-up' and complex, the effortless suppleness of texture makes it supremely accessible and easy to enjoy. Châteauneuf-du-Pape produces a few sophisticated and seriously premium wines from pure Grenache—and The G is more than a little reminiscent of them.

Winemaking
Sourced from a network of vineyards located around the perimeter of Barossa Valley, the vine ages range from 25 to 65 years, and are grown on a range of soil types. Those grown on the sandy loams in the South, tend to drive savoury spice characters, while the dark clays in the North often drives brighter red fruits.
Press Review
92/100 - The 2023 G Grenache Barossa Valley is juicy and red fruited, with an attractive array of savory spice that provides light and shade contouring for the fruit flavors—pomegranate molasses, redcurrant, raspberry and red apples—and toffee, aniseed and pastrami. The wine has earthy tannins and is really good, with classic Barossa Grenache styling here, even through the lens of this cool year.
