Floral and creamy honeysuckle and fresh angelica flavours greet the nose. This is followed by elegant piny juniper and floral gorse to taste, finishing with notes of tart berries and cooling alexander seed. Serve with apple in a G&T.
Process
Freshly-foraged wild Cornish honeysuckle, alexander seeds, gorse flowers, blackberries and sloe berries are macerated in Wheat spirit and distilled in flame-fired copper pot stills
People
Southwestern Distillery launched in 2013, with eponymous distiller Tarquin Leadbetter distilling, bottling, wax dipping and delivering his gins all over Cornwall. The team has grown, but the surfer meets mad scientist vibe still reigns.

Made on a farm in Wadebridge, Cornwall, Southwestern Distillery is a producer that places its home county on a pedestal, with hand-foraged Cornish botanicals and curious coastal ingredients incorporated into everything in their range.
