Lots of beautiful complexity on the nose—baked blackcurrants, chocolate mints, toasty oak, leather, tar and eucalyptus. Sumptuous, rounded and fleshy on the palate, with gloriously velvety tannins, excellent balance and an attractive leafy character on the finish. It’s slightly reminiscent of a Cabernet from Coonawarra. Drink now and over the next 5-6 years. Outstanding value.
