This exceptional single-site wine is from Reuilly, not far from Sancerre. It is made to the standards of the very finest Sancerres, and yet, due to its relative obscurity, it is far more affordable. It makes a bold statement: the nose is packed with punchy grapefruit, green herb, nettle and ramson notes, which give way to juicier lemon, mango and tangerine character on the palate. The wine's creamy texture is from extended ageing on the yeast lees, while the finish is long, fresh and citrussy, with the tang of ruby red grapefruit.
