This is exceptionally complete and balanced for such an affordable bottle. Cunningly crafted of Picpoul and Sauvignon Blanc, the former provides terroir complexity and texture, while the latter a juicy, gooseberry lift. Domaine de Belle Mare excels at both traditional and new-style Languedoc wines from its 45 hectare vine-growing estate, which borders the crystal waters of Bassin de Thau. This important area for oyster farming extends more than 20km between Balaruc and Marseillan, passing through Mèze and Sète, and is the largest and deepest of Languedoc's coastal lagoons. The vineyard enjoys a Mediterranean climate with prominent northerly winds, helping to maintain vine health and enables perfect ripening.
