During November we're looking a five wineries that rightly justify the term Icon. Sierra Cantabria is a standout producer in Rioja and the Eguren family are instrumental in modern Rioja production. Catena Zapata needs no introduction and are widely considered an iconic Argentinean producer. Fontanafredda from Barolo have history on their side, and they have helped establish the popularity of this great region. Domaine de la Janasse lead by example with Chateauneuf du Pape that has pushed the region to new heights. Knipser in the Pfalz are torchbearers for German Pinot Noir and for their region's ability to make outstanding and hugely varied wines.
