Considered a global 'first growth', Hill of Grace is one of the world's most recognisable wine names. It is the produce of a small parcel of ungrafted vines known as 'The Granfathers', which were planted more than 150 years ago. Annual production is very limited, and the wine is concentrated, ripe and spicy, with plum and blackberry fruit complemented by hints of tar, anise, cedar and bacon. Rich and complex on the palate, with dense, exotic, concentrated black fruit character, it is beautifully balanced with velvety texture, excellent depth and length. Impressive at an early stage, it really comes into its own with ten years' or more bottle age.

Press Review
96/100 - Deep garnet-colored, the 2004 Hill of Grace presents warm black fruits, black plums and cassis with underlying Mediterranean herb, spice box and truffles nuances. Full-bodied and rich, it has plenty of acid lift alongside medium to firm, rounded tannins. It is still quite taut on the long, peppery and earthy finish. Still very youthful, this wine should age very well and can drink now to 2030+.
