Big aromas of watermelon greet the nose. To taste sweet watermelon continues with a touch of agave and citrus on the finish. Good for a fruity Margarita or to use with Tonic.
Process
El Sueño uses fully matured, lowland and highland agave, which is cooked in traditional clay ovens and autoclaves. It's then mixed with other non agave sugars to make a mixto tequila. This is then flavoured with a Watermelon extract.
People
El Sueño was founded by drink veterans Paul Hayes and Nav Grewal when, having worked with agave for more than 16 years in Mexico, they wanted to show that you could make a good quality Mixto at an affordable price.
Place
Just like its sister brand Vivir, El Sueño is made at Casa Maestri distillery – a fifth generation, family-run operation in Jalisco.
