The bottle makes a beautiful addition to any cabinet. With clear vanilla, earthy and cooked agave notes, along with a soft oaky finish - it's at its best sipped over ice or as a component in a cocktail including a twist on the classic Negroni.
Process
All Clase Azul is produced using 100% Blue Agave. The piñas are cooked for 72 hours in stone ovens, pressed using a roller mill and fermented in stainless steel tanks using proprietary yeasts. The wash is then twice distilled in Copper Pot stills.
People
Founded in 1997 by Arturo Lomeli, the brand also has a charitable arm, Fundación Con Causa Azul, which aims to support artisanal communities by providing training, education and resources to help keep Mexican artistry alive and thriving.
Place
Clase Azul’s ultra-premium line of Tequila is produced at NOM 1595, Casa Tradición (in Jesus Maria, Jalisco) where the entire process is overseen by Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco
