Château Batailley is quintessential Pauillac, with a dark ruby colour and an elegant, rich and intense red- and black-fruited bouquet. In the mouth, it is well-structured and balanced, with pronounced blackcurrant and spice notes. Moreover, it offers a fine, long finish. Considered a great wine for cellaring, it typically ages extremely well. The 2016 is composed of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. It is extremely elegant, with ripe fruit, appealing mineral (graphite) and tobacco notes and firm tannins.
