DV Catena Malbec Nicasia Vineyard has a deep red colour with violet hues. The nose offers ripe plum and red berry flavours characteristic of the Nicasia Vineyard. Oak aging adds complex and elegant notes of liqueur, tobacco and vanilla. On the palate, a sweet, enticing entry leads to a complex, ample wine of soft, round tannins. Finishes long and lingering.

Winemaking
This wine goes through an extensive cold maceration (whole cluster) of 3-12 days at less than 50oF (10oC) to extract aromas. The juice is then fermented for around 18-25 days with a total maceration of approximately 23-29 days. Elevage: 16-21 months in French Oak second used barrels.
