Cannonau is Sardinia's name for Grenache, and this has the variety's typically caressing, velvety nature, overlaid by a distinctively Italian personality. From the first sniff of the glass, the wine evokes sun-drenched vineyards and dusty earth. The fruit is mellow and mature, and the palate is silky-soft, spicy and balanced, with just enough tannin for texture and definition. Gorgeously easy-drinking, this is such a comfort wine.

Winemaking
The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with a long skin maceration to extract colour, flavour and refined tannins. The wine is then matured in oak barrels, adding complexity, spice and a smooth, well-balanced texture before bottle ageing.
