Process
Bulleit 10 Year Old Bourbon’s high rye content augments its spicy character and creates a smooth finish. Kentucky limestone-filtered water provides a foundation for the bourbon's character, while charred American oak barrels lend a smoky backbone.
People
Thomas E. Bulleit, Jr, inspired by his great-great-grandfather Augustus Bulleit, who made a high-rye whiskey in the 1800’s, fulfilled his dream of reviving an old family bourbon recipe by starting the Bulleit Distilling Company in 1987.
Place
For many years Bulleit Bourbon was originally made in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. From 2017 production was moved to an impressive 300 acre facility, located just east of Shelbyville in Shelby County, Kentucky.
