Pampero

Ron Pampero is widely known by its popular logo, a cowboy sitting astride a rearing horse. It's name allegedly comes from this - a gaucho from the plains, or Pampas ("Pampero" literally means "from the Pampas"). A Venezuelan rum distiller, Pampero was founded in 1938 by Alejandro Hernández, the son of Dr. Amador Hernandez and Dolorita Hernandez from Juan Griego, Margarita. Today it is part of the Diageo group.
