Aveleda is a historic family-owned winery established in 1870 in the Vinho Verde region of Portugal. Now in its fifth generation, the business continues to be managed by the Guedes family, who have overseen its growth into one of Portugal’s most important wine producers. Known for its commitment to quality and innovation, Aveleda specialises in producing Vinho Verde wines and has expanded its reach internationally. Aveleda’s vineyards are primarily located in the cool, lush landscapes of Vinho Verde, where the climate and soil composition are ideal for cultivating the signature grape varieties of the region, including Loureiro, Alvarinho, and Trajadura. The winery employs advanced vineyard management techniques, such as sustainable pruning and canopy management, to ensure optimal grape health and flavour concentration. Aveleda is known for its fresh and vibrant wines, distinguished by their lightness, natural acidity, and aromatic profiles.
