In 1968, the Bogle family took a chance and planted twenty acres of wine grapes at their family farm in Clarksberg Northern California. The grapes flourished, and so began a winemaking legacy which continues today, more than 50 years on. The Bogle family, still working in the day-to-day of the family wine business and vineyards, are committed to crafting single-vineyard wines of exceptional character and concentration, from classic California Chardonnay and Old Vine Zinfandel to award-winning Petite Syrah, Pinot Noir and Viognier.

Though the Bogle family has been farming the lands of the Sacramento River Delta in Northern California since the 1870’s, it was the father and son team of Warren and Chris Bogle who put down the family’s first grapevines, planting Chenin Blanc and Petite Syrah and rooting the company for generations to come. From 20 acres planted in 1968, today the business encompassed over 800 hectares of vines, with grapes grown throughout the state of California. So too has the family of wines grown, and the original Bogle Family Vineyards line now includes the legendary Phantom, Bogle’s premium red blend, made from old vine fruit and aged for over 24 months in American Oak.

With the family’s focus on single vineyard winemaking, sustainable farming and contributions to their community, the Bogle family of wines seek to overdeliver with each and every bottle produced. A Certified California Sustainable Winery, Bogle Vineyards have committed to nurturing the land and preserving its vitality, augmenting eco-friendly farming practices with sustainable and renewable energy solutions to reduce carbon footprint and lead by example within the region.

In 2019 Bogle Family Vineyards created the Bogle Gives Back programme, committing resources and donating time to improve their local community. After the 2020, wildfire season ravaged California, Bogle Family Vineyards raised in excess of $20,000 to help and support those in neighbouring Napa and Sonoma who had suffered devastating losses to their wineries, vineyards and homes.
