Heartland, Directors' Cut Shiraz, Langhorne Creek, Limestone Coast 2010
Gold Sommelier Wine Awards
93 Points - Tyson Stelzer "An impressively balanced vintage for Directors’ Cut, parading the black plum and blackberry glossiness of Langhorne with the savoury intrigue of black olives and the finely structured tannin support of new French oak. The result is seamless and intense, with considerable fruit energy and a tannin profile that asks for five years in the cellar. Drink: 2015-2020"
93 Points - Wine Spectator "Rich, ripe and generous, bursting with vivid blackberry, currant and floral flavors that dance energetically against refined tannins, finishing with length on the crisp finish. Drink now through 2020."
94 Points - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion "Deep, dense crimson-purple; this really is built for the long haul; cedary/spicy French oak is the first aroma encountered on the bouquet and is never far away, but there are waves of blackberry, plum and dark chocolate fruits, then round tannins to conclude."
91 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Jul/Aug 13. Dark purple. Ripe blackberry and cassis on the intensely perfumed nose, with vanilla and mocha notes adding complexity. Sweet black and blue fruit flavors show excellent depth and a plush, velvety texture. Finishes sweet and supple and very long, with gentle tannins and a late jolt of peppery spices.

90 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine "Dark purple. Ripe cherry, cassis and vanilla on the highly perfumed nose.Broad and appealingly sweet in the mouth, offering lush dark fruit compoteflavors and a bracing jolt of peppery spices. Dusty tannins give structure to a long, fruit-driven finish that features an exotic spice cake nuance."

4 Stars - Graeme Phillips, The Sunday Tasmanian, AUS, 5 May 2013. "A rich blackcurrant and gumleaf nose, firm and juicy in the mouth, with grippy tannins underlying the fruit and providing a deliciously long, savoury finish. A bargain.“
